Scars
Ablative lasers remove individual layers of the skin with maximum precision and can be used to smooth scars thanks to fractional technology, as well as innovative picosecond lasers with fractional handpieces. MicroSpot technology optimizes treatment results by targeting only partial areas, speeding up wound healing. It is used to stimulate skin regeneration and collagen formation without damaging surrounding tissue. The result after a few sessions is flattening of the scar edges, visible improvement in skin structure, and scar color that becomes lighter.
Scars can be very bothersome, and many would like to live without those marks. There are many different types of scars, which can have different causes (for example, acne scars, surgical scars, etc.). Depending on the type of scar, there are suitable treatment options. Laser treatment is a modern and non-invasive therapy that achieves excellent results without the discomfort and downtime of surgical solutions.
A special type is the treatment of stretch marks. These scars are caused by excessive stretching of linear bands of atrophic or wrinkled skin, for example after rapid weight loss/gain, growth during puberty, or pregnancy. In their initial phase, they present inflammation of the skin with dilated capillaries giving an inflammatory appearance. In the final phase, stretch marks appear hypopigmented and fibrotic due to linear deposition of dermal bundles and thinning of the overlying epidermis.
